Dreamy Wedding at Camp Colton, Oregon
Nestled in the lush forests of the Pacific Northwest, Camp Colton is one of Oregon’s most magical wedding venues. As a wedding photographer, I’ve had the privilege of capturing love stories in breathtaking locations, but there’s something truly special about Camp Colton. The towering evergreens, the charming chapel, and the serene creek running through the property create a setting that feels both intimate and grand—perfect for couples looking to celebrate their love in nature’s embrace.
One of the things I love most about Camp Colton is how seamlessly nature blends into every part of the wedding day. The getting-ready spaces are tucked into the woods, offering a quiet retreat for both partners before the ceremony. Natural light filters through the trees, making for dreamy, soft-lit portraits as excitement and anticipation build.
The couple opted to have their ceremony in The chapel, with its large windows and wooden beams, which provided a cozy and intimate atmosphere, while still embracing a natural aesthetic. They then had their reception in the forest amphitheater partying beneath a canopy of leaves, making for an ethereal, storybook-like moment.
As a photographer, capturing ceremonies here is a dream. The light filtering through the trees creates a golden glow, perfect for romantic and timeless images. The way the natural setting complements the couple’s emotions makes every shot feel deeply personal and organic.
