I’ll absolutely guide you throughout your session so you never feel like you have to figure out what to do in front of the camera, but I don’t want your photos to feel overly posed or forced. My goal is for you to look back at your images years from now and still feel exactly what you felt in that moment.

You definitely don't need to know how to pose! That's my job. 😉

I’ll guide you through natural prompts, movement, and poses while also giving you plenty of space to simply interact with each other. I want your images to feel effortless and genuine, not like you were standing around waiting for someone to tell you where to put your hands.

I'll help you choose a location based on the type of session you're envisioning, the light, the season, and the overall feel you want your photos to have. Whether that's a mountain view, the Oregon coast, an open field, or somewhere meaningful to your family, we'll find something that feels right.

Most portrait sessions are about an hour, which gives us plenty of time to settle in, explore the location, capture a variety of poses and interactions, and let things happen naturally.

That said, I'm not watching the clock the entire time. Especially with families and little ones, I know things don't always go exactly according to plan. We'll take the time we need to create a gallery that feels complete and true to your family.

I know you're excited to see your photos! Your finished gallery will be delivered through an online gallery where you can easily view, download, and share your images.

Washington and Oregon weather keeps things interesting!

If the weather isn't cooperating and it looks like it will significantly affect your session, we'll keep an eye on the forecast together and reschedule when needed. My goal is always to make sure you have beautiful light and an experience you actually enjoy, not have you standing in the rain just because we picked a date.

Yes! My newborn sessions are focused on connection, simplicity, and the little details you'll want to remember.

Rather than creating overly elaborate setups, I love capturing the way you naturally interact with your new baby, the tiny fingers, sleepy snuggles, newborn stretches, and the way you look at each other as you become a family of three, four, or more.

Newborn sessions can be done in the comfort of your home or at an outdoor location, depending on the look and feel you're envisioning.

Kids don't have to sit still, smile on command, or behave perfectly for us to get beautiful photographs. I work with their personalities and let them move, play, explore, and be themselves.

Some of my favorite family photographs happen when everyone stops trying to get the “perfect picture.” So don't stress if your toddler has other plans, we'll roll with it!
